Later Subaru WRX models and many WRX STI applications use 5x114.3, but that does not mean every 5x114.3 wheel fits every WRX or STI. Width, offset, tyre size and especially brake clearance still need to be matched to the exact generation and brake package.

WRX and STI 5x114.3 fitment basics
For the 2015+ WRX, start with 5x114.3. Many later STI models also use 5x114.3, but larger Brembo packages make spoke and barrel clearance a critical check. A wheel can have the right PCD, diameter and offset and still fail to clear a caliper.

18-inch WRX / STI setups
Eighteen-inch is the broadest performance choice for this platform. 18x8.5 around +35 to +45 is a comparatively conservative performance direction, while 18x9.5 +38 is one of the best-known wider WRX/STI fitments and is offered across multiple genuine performance-wheel ranges.
Tyre choice changes the result significantly. A 245-section tyre leaves more clearance margin than many 255- or 265-section combinations on the same wheel.
19-inch WRX / STI setups
Nineteen-inch wheels suit later STI and street-focused WRX builds where brake and tyre clearance permit. Wider 19x9.5 packages are used on performance builds, but exact offset and spoke design need to be checked against the individual brake package.
Safe vs aggressive 5x114.3 fitment
Safe / OEM+ starting point: 18x8.5 around +35 to +45 gives a useful conservative-performance range. It keeps more clearance margin than a very low-offset 9.5-inch wheel while still offering genuine lightweight wheel choices.
Popular wider setup: 18x9.5 +38 is widely used on VA-generation WRX/STI builds. It can produce a near-flush stance, but tyre width, ride height and alignment still determine whether guard work is needed.
Aggressive / modified-car setup: 18x9.5 around +22 to +25 pushes the wheel substantially farther outward and should be treated as a modified-car specification requiring tyre, camber, guard and suspension checks.
